Installation Instructions
Installing the Eye Plates
1. Use the bottom eye plate as a template to mark the screw holes and draw and outline of the opening for the twist part on the back of the material. Pierce the screw holes through your bag material with an awl, then cut the twist part opening.2. Place the top eye plate on the front material (right side) and the bottom plate on the material underside. Align the holes and screw the plates in place. You can use glue between this process (optional) but this turn lock has the eye plates built in different way which will grasp the bag material securely without any glue on.
TIP: If your bag material is thin and the plates seem loose, just insert more scraps of interfacing or a bit of any thicker leather or a pack of foam between the bag material underside and the bottom plate.
Installing the Twist Button
1. Find the position of the twist button on the front of your bag body. Take the twist button and press the prongs into the bag body on the marked position. Mark the position of the two indentations created by the prongs.
3. Use a seam ripper and carefully slit into the prong marked position. Slide the prongs into the right side of the bag, then slip the metal washer over the prongs on the wrong side. Press the prongs down with your thumb.
